Surprise, surprise, surprise!

Yesterday I took 3 at home pregnancy tests (actually 4m but that is another part of the story) and they all came back positive. So at 7 am this morning, I called to get a dr.'s appointment. My doctor is out of the office until Wed. I was really hoping to know for sure, for sure today. I had the choice to see someone else, but I didn't want to. I love my doctor, she has seen me and MacKenzie through so much. Even though she is a family practitioner, I believe this is the best choice. Hopefully I will not have any of the complications I had the last time!

So here is the deal, if you are reading this, this is a blog secret! DH and I agreed that we would not tell anyone until 12 weeks. I mainly wanted this because I didn't want to tell his family. I have said something to 2 people. I guess 3 including the receptionist that answered the phone. Her name is K'Lyn and she happens to be my brother's best friend's wife. She and her hubby Seth were in Alan's wedding. And funny enough, we saw her yesterday at Safeway right in front of the pg tests. She looked at us funny, but didn't say anything. Anyway, I think it is a riot that she answered the phone after seeing us the day before! I can't wait to tell baby girl, but I want confirmation from a blood test first. Remember- MUM'S THE WORD!

This is a normal 7 week gestation. The bright circle closest to the center of the image is the yolk sac and the fetus is to the right of the yolk sac.

Week 7 - Gestational Age (Fetal Age - Week 5):At 7 weeks gestation, every essential organ has begun to form in the embryo’s tiny body even though it still weighs less than an aspirin. The hair and nipple follicles are forming, and the eyelids and tongue have begun formation. The elbows and toes are more visible as the trunk begins to straighten out.
